Getting Diwali ready with Aditi in the Sonia Top and Neela Sequin Skirt!

Working with customers as sweet as Aditi makes what we do so fulfilling! When Aditi came to us, she told us how hard it was for her to find plus size Indian clothing in styles she really loved. She had been eyeing a few styles from our website so we produced some custom sizes for her, tailored to her measurements and style.

What made you choose Harleen Kaur?

I chose the Harleen Kaur brand after it was recommended to me from multiple South Asian org's in NYC that highly recommended her due to the quality of the fabric and her impeccable designs.

A lot of recommendations were to other studios selling outfits from designers from India (whom I love!), but Harleen is unique in that her outfits are locally and sustainably made in NYC which is what I was looking for specifically!

She was extremely friendly to work with and allowed me numerous consultations (at her various studios) to take my measurements, advise me on what style would be best based on my body type and event formality, and was able to accommodate my numerous requests. Harleen Kaur has a keen eye on design, what's fashionable, and honestly what looks good on the South Asian body! Her designs have a mix of the traditional but also modern and sleek that is flattering and comfortable.  

How did you feel in the oufit you purchased?

I love this outfit! I love the colors, the flare of the skirt, and the special care that went into it with the details and designs of the skirt. The skirt is bright even with the majority of the skirt being dark. The top is simple but elegant and I love that it's a simple zipper rather than the clasps most traditional blouses have. And you can wear this top with any lehenga skirt or western outfit. I feel great in the outfit and the outfit looks great! 

What did you love most about your outfit?

I loved that this outfit was tailored and fit me and my style. It's different and unique from lots of other South Asian brands you see!

What was the whole experience like?

What I really appreciated from the experience is the patience that Harleen and her staff had with me in regards to my timelines and needs. They weren't pushy at all and were able to deliver in a timely manner even when I needed adjustments on the outfits.
